Les secondes, projectives, s’exercent vers le cotexte aval et permettent d’indexer des segments textuels potentiellement étendus en les regroupant au sein d’unités sémantico-pragmatiques que M. Charolles (ibid.) propose de nommer « cadres de discours ». This book brings together a range of scientific contributions whose aim is to give a better grasp of the research on cohesion and coherence carried out in the past forty years, in all its variety and complexity. Special focus is given to France and to a renewed conception (Charolles, 1997) of the taxonomy of markers of discourse cohesion, which proposes to distinguish between markers of connection and markers of indexation. The former (anaphors and connectives) establish links of discourse cohesion with the cotext to the left.
