Public policies on science, technology and innovation in Argentina have four decades of uninterrupted history. But until now, there were no systematic studies that fully evaluated this trajectory. What were the policies implemented? What objectives did they pursue? Who and how did they allocate the funds for its promotion and development? What impact did they produce? This book addresses these and other questions through a set of research focused on the interaction and negotiation between people and institutions that generated agendas and, as a result, defined the scientific and technological horizon of the country. In other words, the publication investigates the process of articulation and interaction of ideologies, interests, perceptions and strategies held by the set of actors involved in the sector, within the broader framework of the international context.
