Mellado estudia un corpus literario amplio y diverso, conformado por producciones del brasilero Joaquin Machado de Assis, de los cubanos José Martí y Jesús Díaz, del uruguayo José Rodó, del peruano José Mariátegui, del chileno Roberto Bolaño y de los argentinos Roberto Arlt y Graciela Cros. A través de sus distintos capítulos se proponen relaciones y tensiones entre el campo artístico y el campo sociopolítico problematizando la praxis literaria y los modos situados en que se concreta. Con una aguda lectura crítica reflexiona sobre la forma en que la literatura ha ido diseñando maneras de mirar y de pensar la cultura latinoamericana. Su abordaje revisita el problema de la representación en la literatura y los vínculos de la escritura literaria con las formas de vida. In this book Luciana A. Mellado studies a wide and diverse literary corpus, made up of productions by the Brazilian Joaquin Machado de Assis, the Cubans José Martí and Jesús Díaz, the Uruguayan José Rodó, the Peruvian José Mariátegui, the Chilean Roberto Bolaño and the Argentines Roberto Arlt and Graciela Cros. Through its different chapters, relations and tensions are proposed between the artistic field and the sociopolitical field, problematizing the literary praxis and the ways in which it is concretized. With an acute critical reading, she reflects on the way in which literature has been designing ways of looking at and thinking about Latin American culture. Her approach revisits the problem of representation in literature and the links of literary writing with life forms. |
