| Summary, etc. | Decorreu nos dias 27, 28 e 29 de Junho de 1996, na vila de Portel, o colóquio intitulado Artes da Fala e subordinado ao tema da oralidade a sul do rio Tejo numa perspectiva antropológica. Organizado pela Câmara Municipal de Portel e pelo Centro de Tradições Populares Portuguesas (Universidade de Lisboa), tendo o professor Manuel Viegas Guerreiro assegurado a respectiva coordenação científica. A realização do evento traduz a congregação de esforços entre uma unidade científica e uma entidade autárquica para que durante as jornadas referidas se criasse um ambiente de estímulos mútuos. Durante as sessões do Colóquio de Portel foram debatidas questões relacionadas com a abordagem da oralidade no Sul de Portugal. Este tema tem um significado duplo. Se, por um lado, fornece matéria para a construção de memória, por outro, caracteriza realidades presentes. Distinguir estas questões implicou interrogar a noção de cultura popular. Ao fazê-lo, somos obrigados a desfazer dicotomias no nosso modo de pensar. |
