Dans cette étude ethnographique, acuité de l’observation et humanisme qualifient les descriptions, enrichies d’anecdotes et illustrées de clichés, que l’auteur rapporte de la vie des imams et de ses sujets. Elle nous dévoile, grâce à son courage et son ingéniosité mêlée d’humour, tous les espaces de la société yéménite. Claudie Fayein’s testimony of her stay in the Yemen in 1951-1953 is unique. In this ethnographical study, acuteness of her observations and humanism qualify the descriptions, enriched with anecdotes and illustrated with pictures, of the life of the Imam and his subjects. She unveils, thanks to her courage and ingenuity mixed with humor, all the spaces of the Yemeni society. |
