| Summary, etc. | Nuestra época convulsionada parece caracterizarse no solo por las reivindicaciones de pasadas violencias estatales sino por la emergencia de nuevos imaginarios de crueldad, cuya base es la deformación de la realidad histórica que se ejecuta mediáticamente con la proliferación de discursos de odio, sin sensibilidad y, por supuesto, sin evidencia.En este contexto, no es casual que a la vez que se niega o, peor, se intenta legitimar la violencia desde el Estado, se niega también la especificidad de la violencia ejercida por razones de género. Y es que, como ha demostrado la antropóloga argentina Rita Segato, esta última es la escuela de todas las demás violencias.Desde las coordenadas del presente de este primer cuarto del siglo xxi, este libro viene entonces, por un lado, a dialogar con quienes trabajan para la recuperación de la memoria, aportando voces que hasta tiempos recientes no habían sido suficientemente tenidas en cuenta. Por el otro lado, viene a contraponer a aquellos discursos de odio deliberadamente vacíos y desmemoriados el testimonio de mujeres –18 entrevistas– con nombres y apellidos, con cuerpos y subjetividades que atravesaron el horror antes, durante y después de la última dictadura cívico-militar en la Argentina y, puntualmente, en la provincia de Río Negro.Así, pretende realizar una contribución al conocimiento del pasado reciente –pero que también es conocimiento sobre las urgencias del presente y, sin dudas, del futuro– desde una perspectiva feminista.
