| Summary, etc. | La traduction épistémique est celle qui transmet des savoirs. Son objectif est de convaincre le lecteur du bien-fondé du propos. C’est le troisième type de traduction encore peu étudié, à côté de la traduction littéraire (« poésie ») et de la traduction spécialisée (« prose »). Elle a sa méthodologie propre. Philosophes, linguistes, philologues, historiens et littéraires réfléchissent ensemble sur les méthodes de traduire. Il s’agit de décloisonner les approches des traducteurs de domaines de savoir différents, et de fonder une approche commune, et cependant différente de toutes les autres qui sont basées sur le genre du texte à traduire. En effet, l’approche épistémique est issue de l’activité traduisante elle-même et de la mise en forme du sens (l’épistémique est analysé par opposition au pragmatique et au poétique). Cet ouvrage s’adresse non seulement aux traducteurs, mais aussi à tous ceux qui s’intéressent aux échanges interculturels à travers le temps, les langues, les philosophies et les domaines du savoir. Epistemic translation is the translation that transmits knowledge. Its purpose is to convince the addressee of the appropriateness and the relevance of the statement. This is the third type of translation. |
